Equip Them…

Greetings in the name of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
In retrospect of last year’s convention theme, “Enlarge Your Habitation,” I can’t help but think of Acts 2 and Acts 4 where we find 3,000 and then 5,000 souls being instantly added to the church overnight. I say this in light of the promise God gave us in Isaiah 54:1 which sates that, “The children of the desolate will be more or greater than the children of the married woman.” In other words, there’s coming a day where the spiritual sons and daughters of those dwelling outside the promises of the Abrahamic covenant, will far exceed the sons and daughters of natural Israel. Well let me encourage you, we are now living in the dispensation of that promise. In other words, through the atoning work of Christ, God
is adding to his church such as should be saved on a daily basis from every tribe, nation and tongue.
Now the next thing that I want to remind you of and what I shared just this past week with our Executive Board is the command found in verse 2 of this same chapter. In particular, it’s the admonition to “stretch forth our curtains, to lengthen our cords, and strengthen our stakes” in lieu of the coming harvest.
Again, if we are truly going to align ourselves with scripture and be obedient to what the prophet writes here, we too have to be just as intentional as Jesus was was to raise up and develop ministry. Apart from this, the church will lack what is necessary to equip them.
Furthermore, could our obedience to this command be the very thing that releases the next end-day move of God?
