Greetings from the King of kings and Lord of lords!
As I begin my letter today, I want to remind you of what Jesus said in Matthew 24:45-46, “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.”
Now the reason I’m sharing these verses with you today, is because I believe it goes hand in hand with what I’ve wrote in this month’s Communique. In particular, it deals with the two-fold calling that every minister receives who has been called into the five fold ministry. Again, the true calling of ministry entails more than just preaching and teaching scripture; it also entails developing future ministry gifts. Furthermore, it’s not only the pattern that you find Jesus following as he ministered, it’s the pattern that you find the apostles following and teaching others as well.
In closing, I want to remind you that one day we are all going to give an account for both; the pound (or calling) that we have received, as well as the talents (or gfits). My desire is to hear, “Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” What’s your desire?
As always, may God bless you richly!
