Greetings in the Wonderful Name of our Lord,
As I begin this letter today, I want to do say by asking you that age old proverbial question, “What came first, the chicken or the egg?” Now if you’re a believer, you know the answer to that question is the “chicken.” In Genesis 1 we find that on the fifth day, “God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.”
Now I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m sharing this with you today. In fact, some of you may even be asking yourself, “What does this have to do with Christianity?” Well let me explain.
As I’ve shared in some of my past correspondence, most of us believe that there is coming a mighty last day harvest. In fact, I for one, believe that. But what I don’t believe and what I want to challenge you with this month, is that it’s not going to happen in the traditional manner. In other words, our focus of bringing people into the church for them to be saved is literally putting the egg before the chicken. In other words, the church was never meant to be the place where people come to be saved, the church was meant to be the instrument that God sends into the world to win the masses. In fact, not only does this truth align with scripture, apart from it, we will never fulfill our true purpose.
