The Calling and the Cost

Updated: Nov 19

Greetings in the Mighty name of Jesus.

As I write this letter today, there’s two things that I’d like to address. The first comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:24 which says, “ Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” In other words, no matter what you find yourself facing, no matter how hard or how difficult the task may be; if God has called you to fulfill a particular ministry, with that calling, will also come a supernatural strength to fulfill it.

I say this in light of the end time harvest of souls that many are predicting, as well as, the new pastors and ministries which will be needed in order to develop and disciple them. Let me say that again, but let me say it a little differently. I believe with this coming wave of new souls, will also come a new wave of those who sense the call to ministry. It’s the very thing that you find happening in the book of Acts, as the church begins launching out beyond the borders of Israel.

Now does that mean it’s always going to be easy? Of course not. In fact, this is the very thing you find Jesus addressing in Luke 14 when he speaks about “Counting the cost.” But here’s the thing. It’s only as you recognize both, the calling and the cost, that’s God’s supernatural power is manifested.

The second thing that I’d like to address in my letter today, is simply a prayer request. Would you be willing to take a few minutes to pray for the Charlie Kirk family? I can’t imagine what his family and loved ones are feeling right now in the midst of this tragedy. But I do know that we serve, “the God of all comfort.”

As always, may God bless you richly!
